The City of Jacksonville announced on May 18 that the community is invited to attend the A250 Daughters of the American Revolution celebration honoring America’s history and the approach of its 250th anniversary.

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 19 at 2 p.m. at Richard Ray All American Park, located at 1200 North Commons Drive in Jacksonville. Organizers say this special occasion aims to highlight patriotism, service, and heritage while bringing residents together for an afternoon focused on remembrance and reflection.

According to the announcement, attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about local efforts connected with the national milestone and are encouraged to visit the official webpage for additional information about the local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter.

This event marks a step in recognizing historical milestones within Jacksonville and offers a chance for community members to engage with traditions tied to America’s founding.

As preparations continue for upcoming commemorations related to America’s semiquincentennial, organizers invite all interested residents to participate in these activities dedicated to honoring shared history.
