City of Jacksonville issued the following announcement on July 27.

Join us this Saturday July 30, 2022 at 7:30AM for our 10th Annual Running with the law 5k/10k/1Mile Fun Run. 

 This event is a sister event to the National Night event held on Tuesday August 2, 2022. 

All race proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of North Carolina. 

Pricing: 10k $45.00, 5k $35.00, 1 Mile Fun Run $15.00. For more information click the link below.

The Onslow County Public Library will hold its annual Comic Book Fest on May 16 at its Jacksonville Branch location. The event features cosplay, workshops, panels and local vendors aimed at bringing together fans and fostering creativity amid ongoing educational challenges faced by area students.
