CITY OF JACKSONVILLE: Honoring our military youth on Purple Up Day

County of Jacksonville issued the following announcement on Apr. 5.

April is the Month of the Military Child and the City is honoring our military youth on Purple Up Day. Traditionally held on April 15, we wear purple on this day to show support for military youth. The Freedom Fountain will also be lit with purple lights tonight in celebration of our military youth.
