County of Onslow issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.

The Onslow Civic Affairs Committee invites the community to attend the 9/11 Patriot Day Observance on Friday, September 9, 2022. The event begins at 8:15AM at the 9/11 Memorial Beam in Lejeune Memorial Gardens at 100 Montford Landing Rd.

Organized by the Onslow Civic Affairs Committee, the observance honors and remembers victims, first responders and military members who perished as a result of the 9/11 terrorists attacks and in the continued fight against terrorism around the world.
The Patriot Day Observance is an outdoor ceremony and is open to the public.
The event will be recorded for broadcast and available for viewing on G10TV, G10TV.org, and the City of Jacksonville Youtube Channel.
