County of Onslow issued the following announcement on Nov. 29.
Onslow County DSS will be hosting their Annual Foster Children’s Christmas Party for the children in Onslow County foster care.
DSS welcomes and appreciates donations which help them to provide a memorable holiday for the children.
Acceptable donations include unwrapped new toys for all age ranges, gift cards for teens, and monetary donations. Gifts can be donated through December 7, 2022 and will be hand delivered to the children by Onslow County Social Workers. November is National Adoption Month which highlights the need for adoptive families for children in the foster care system. Fostering is often times the first step towards adoption and foster families give children opportunities to develop their full potential, physically, academically, socially, and emotionally. In this video we showcase an Onslow County foster family that opened their home and hearts to a child in need.
