County of Onslow issued the following announcement on July 26.

Please join Onslow County Sheriff’s Office for a golf tournament to help raise money for N.C. Special Olympics.  

LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED to all players. 

Please support by playing alongside the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.

Per person: $60

Team of 4: $240

Jacksonville schedules Earth Day celebration at Sturgeon City on April 18

Jacksonville has announced an Earth Day celebration set for April 18 at Sturgeon City. The free event features STEAM activities, live music, a craft fair, food trucks, and art contests. Community members are encouraged to attend or participate as vendors.
