County of Onslow issued the following announcement on June 6.

Most Onslow County offices and operations will be closed on Friday, June 17, 2022, in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday. This includes the Onslow County Government Center, Senior Services, Consolidated Human Services, Landfill, Animal Services Shelter, Library Branches & the Museum.

On Thursday, June 16, 2022 the Onslow Civic Affairs Committee will hold several Juneteenth observances at the following times and locations: 8:30AM at the Consolidated Human Services building, 9:45AM at Jacksonville City Hall, and 11:30AM at the Onslow County Government Center.

Onslow County Sheriff’s Office administrative offices will be closed on Juneteenth, but Deputies will be answering emergency calls as will the Onslow County Animal Services Officers.
