County of Onslow issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.

The coming new year brings with it some important tax deadlines to be mindful of. January 5, 2023 is the deadline to pay both real and personal property tax and January 31, 2023 is the listing deadline. Any payments or listings made after these deadlines may be subject to interest or late penalties.

Payments can be made in person at the Tax Office, or placed in the outdoor drop box located near the entrance of the Onslow County Government Center at 234 NW Corridor Blvd, Jacksonville. If you are planning to pay in person please keep in mind that the Tax Office will be closed for the Christmas holiday December 23, 26, & 27 and closed for the New Year’s Day holiday on January 2.

If you mail your payment be sure it is postmarked by the US Postal Service by January 5 so it won’t be considered late and please refrain from mailing cash or placing cash in the drop box.

Payments can also be made online at anytime using the online payment portal at OnslowCountyNC.gov/Tax
