County of Onslow issued the following announcement on Sept. 25.

This event has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 22, 2022 due to forecasted inclement weather from Hurricane Ian.

Celebrate Fire Prevention Week on Saturday, October 22, 2022 with first responders from Onslow County and Jacksonville at the Lowe’s on Western Blvd. in Jacksonville from 10AM to 2PM.

There will be activities and goodie bags for children as well as demonstrations of CPR, kitchen safety, a fire safety house, and other hands on experiences. Bring a bike for Bicycle Rodeo hands on safety lesson.

The Fire Prevention Week Kickoff is FREE fun for the whole family!
