County of Onslow issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.

Most Onslow County Government Offices will be closed Monday, January 16, 2023 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and Onslow County Emergency Services will continue to operate for emergency services calls, but administrative offices will be closed.

The Onslow County Landfill and Convenience Sites will be closed on Monday. 

The Landfill will resume for normal business on Tuesday and the Convenience Sites will be open as normal on Wednesday.

Onslow County Public Library branches and the Onslow County Museum will also be closed Monday, but both will observe regular weekend hours.

Onslow County Department of Social Services will be closed, but if you need to make a report of child or elder abuse, neglect, exploitation, or dependency you can call the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office at 910 455-3113 and ask for the on-call social worker.
