County of Onslow issued the following announcement on May 16.

May is National Foster Care Month and we celebrate the foster parents and kinship parents who offer loving homes for children in our community. Watch the story of the Hambrick family who have opened their home to children in need and helped families become whole again through reunification.

There are 52 licensed foster homes and over 145 children in foster care in Onslow County. For information on how to begin the foster parent journey visit OnslowCountyNC.gov/Foster or call 910 219-1956.
