County of Onslow issued the following announcement on Jan. 30.

Thanks to all of the Onslow County Highschoolers that came out to the Room 3 Live event hosted by Rodney Johnson, Jr. this past weekend.

This event is designed to help kids prepare for life after graduation by providing a fun, exciting, resourceful, and educational setting.

There was a live panel discussion where many important and relatable topics were discussed among attendees and the Room 3 Live crew such as life after graduation, fear, identity, purpose, and college.

Students were encouraged to write their vision for their future on the Vision Board, talk among their peers, and visit with the multiple vendors present. Games were played to help motivate team building and serve as ice breakers.

Thank you to all the vendors who helped make this event a success, including, the New River YMCA, Coastal Carolina Community College, and West Virginia State University.

Stay tuned for information about another Room 3 Live event later this year.
