COUNTY OF ONSLOW: Welcomes Andrew Prince as the newly sworn in Finance Officer

County of Onslow issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.

Onslow County welcomes Andrew Prince as the newly sworn in Finance Officer. Mr. Prince possesses a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Accounting and has previously worked as a Senior Auditor for public accounting firm Elliott Davis. He most recently was an Assistant State Auditor for the North Carolina Office of State Auditor.

He has audited numerous North Carolina cities and counties, including Onslow County, and prepared financial reports, records, and revenue forecasts for local governments and has significant local government finance experience.

During the same ceremony Lisa Marlin was sworn in as Deputy Finance Officer. Over the past several months she has excellently served as the Interim Finance Officer and led the Finance Office through the recent budget season.

Mr. Prince will lead an award winning team at the Onslow County Finance Office. Earlier this year the Government Finance Officers Association awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Onslow County for the comprehensive annual financial report for the 2021 fiscal year. This award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
