Jacksonville Transit details city bus routes serving key shopping areas

Jacksonville Transit offers several bus routes serving downtown Jacksonville and nearby areas, connecting riders to key shopping centers and business locations such as Jacksonville Mall, Walmart on Yopp Road, and retail outlets along Gum Branch Road.

The transit system operates Monday through Friday from 5:55 a.m. to 7:55 p.m., with weekend and holiday service running from 9:55 a.m. to 7:55 p.m.

Four main city routes are available:

– City Route 101 (Purple) serves Crestfield Point Apartments, downtown Jacksonville, AMC Theater, and CarMax on Piney Green Road and Highway 17. The route takes approximately 36 to 40 minutes.
– City Route 102 (Green) connects Walmart on North Marine Boulevard, Jacksonville Mall, Piney Green Shopping Center, and Coastal Carolina Community College. This route’s travel time is about 41 to 45 minutes.
– City Route 103 (Orange) runs from Walmart on Yopp Road through downtown to the Jacksonville Mall via Hargett Street and Country Club Road.
– City Route 104 (Blue) provides stops at retail stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues along Gum Branch Road, Bell Fork Road, Western Extension—including shopping areas and an AMC Movie theater.

Additionally, the Scarlet Express Route operates on weekends and holidays with varying hours for holiday service. It offers transportation both on and off military bases including MCB Camp Lejeune, Camp Johnson, and MCAS New River.

These services help residents access essential destinations throughout the city by public transportation.
