On Monday, Feb. 17, former Jacksonville High School standout Matthew Lovitt’s current college team, the Chowan Hawks, lost 12-0 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Young Harris Mountain Lions.

The game took place at Zell B. Miller Field. This was their third matchup against the Mountain Lions this season.

The Hawks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at Stephen B. Dolny Stadium against Lander Bearcats.
