Onslow County Schools issued the following announcement on May 20.

Earlier this week, the Eastern North Carolina Regional Skills Center hosted the State of the Community Luncheon. At this event, leaders from local governments, military bases, and community organizations gathered to discuss the progress our community has made over the last year and the anticipated challenges to come.

OCS Superintendent Dr. Barry Collins spoke on the panel and shared that he is proud of the work our staff did to keep instruction as our top priority throughout COVID-19. He also shared that, like many other organizations, staffing is one of the largest challenges we will face moving forward.
