On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Swansboro High School standout Peyton Eckert’s current college team, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, won 7-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Queens Royals.
The game took place at Boseman Field. This was their first matchup against the Royals this season.
The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. at CSU Softball Complex against Charleston Southern Buccaneers.
