TOWN OF SURF CITY: May 3rd-5th – Annual Water System Flush

Town of Surf City issued the following announcement on May 5.

The utility department will be conducting its annual water system flush beginning May 3rd, 2022. This flush removes excess iron from the system and maintains water quality. As crews work through the areas, residents might experience discolored water and lower-than-normal pressure. Water will remain safe during this process, but it is not advised to launder clothing during this time. Listed below are the scheduled day’s crews will be flushing each area. 

  • May 3rd – Mainland portion of Surf City
  • May 4th – Roland Ave South
  • May 5th – Roland Ave North
