Town of Surf City issued the following announcement on March 6.
The Town of Surf City is excited to provide another option to conveniently pay your utility and tax bills: Phone Interactive Voice Response (IVR).
Residents may call 833-681-3449 for utilities or 810-681-3450 for taxes at any time, 24/7, to make a payment through the IVR phone system. Like online payment submissions, payment will be recorded with the transaction date and will be processed the next business day. To make a payment, an individual will be prompted to provide the account number, pin number, and payment information.
IVR accepts two forms of payment: credit/debit card or e-check. All credit/debit card transactions will be assessed a 2.95% convenience fee and e-checks will be assessed a $1.95 fee per submission, neither fees will go to the Town of Surf City.
The IVR system is live now and effective March 1st all phone payments will be processed using this system. As a reminder, there are other ways to pay utilities including:
Bank Draft (back of bill + void check) – NO CHARGE
Online Payment Portal HERE – Debit/Credit Card: 2.95% convenience fee per transaction | E-check: $1.95 fee per submission
Bill Pay- This service is initiated by your bank, please contact them if you would like to utilize this payment option and any fees should be discussed with your bank.
Checks can be submitted in any of the following ways:
In person: 8AM – 5PM at the Surf City Municipal Complex (214 W Florence Way Hampstead, NC 28443) – NO CHARGE
Drop boxes (anytime or after hours): Surf City Municipal Complex or the Surf City Community Center (201 Community Center Drive Surf City, NC 28445) – NO CHARGE
Mailed: PO Box 2475 Surf City, NC 28445 – NO CHARGE
