Town of Surf City issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.
With the passage of a strong weather system today we are expecting blustery winds through Friday afternoon.
Some of these winds could exceed 50 mph.
To reduce damage and loss, please take the time to secure outdoor items such as holiday decorations, trash cans, tables etc.
Temperatures throughout the weekend are expected to fall into the 20’s overnight.
Protect your outdoor plants and pets by bringing them indoors.
Don’t forget to check your exposed plumbing for adequately protection as well.
