Town of Swansboro issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.

The Otway Burns Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting a genealogy workshop at the Swansboro Recreation Center on September 24 from 9AM-12PM.

The genealogy workshops are open to the public; pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Are you just starting out on your journey to discover your family roots…or are you one document away from solving a mystery of one of your ancestors? Wherever you are in your genealogical process, DAR is here to help.

The members of the Otway Burns Chapter will be present and available to discuss and research your family tree. Men and women are encouraged to participant; membership in the DAR or other lineal society is not required.

This workshop is FREE to register.
