On Wednesday, Feb. 26, former Swansboro High School standout Peyton Eckert’s current college team, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, lost 7-5 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the East Carolina Pirates.

The game took place at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Pirates this season.

The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 3:30 p.m. at Dail Softball Stadium against North Carolina State Wolfpack.
