Rep. Wyatt Gable, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House representing the 14th district since 2025, recently used his social media platform to address both the start of the new school year and ongoing political disputes in the state.
On August 25, 2025, Gable acknowledged students and educators returning to classrooms by posting: “Many students are heading back to school this week, we want to wish them and all the dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff a happy back to school! #ncpol #ncleg #ocs https://t.co/6Htlq2gLI2”.
Three days later, on August 28, he criticized Governor Roy Cooper’s record on disaster recovery efforts in North Carolina. In his statement, Gable wrote: “NC’s Failure in Chief Roy Cooper has no room to talk. For 8 years he miserably failed hurricane victims across our state. The people who continue to live without a home because of Coopers massive failure deserve better than this joke of a governor. I look forward to seeing https://t.co/YqR05TbP4H”.
Later that same day, Gable commented on legislative priorities with another post: “Glad to hear that House Dems agree House Republicans have the best plan forward for NC! #ncpol #ncleg https://t.co/tebYxyzOy9”.
Gable succeeded George Cleveland as representative for North Carolina’s 14th House district after being elected in 2025.
