Rep. Wyatt Gable, a Republican representing North Carolina’s 14th House district, has recently used his social media platform to criticize state leadership and highlight legislative actions in Raleigh.

On July 28, 2025, Gable posted a message referencing Medicaid expansion and state responses to natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic: “Wow! Expanded Medicaid while deserting the families devastated by Hurricanes, killing small businesses, and ruining the school experience for kids across the state during his tyrannical COVID mandates. What a hero…. https://t.co/NGsSoQJF7d”

The following day, July 29, Gable expressed agreement with Senator Cotton’s criticism of Governor Roy Cooper: “Senator Cotton is right, Roy Cooper is not what this great state needs or wants. #ncpol #ussenate https://t.co/4AslugPOxH”

Later that same day, Gable commented on recent legislative activity at the North Carolina General Assembly: “So glad the fan club could join us in the gallery today to support veto overrides. Glad to be doing the work of the people to keep NC Safe and pass common sense legislation #ncpol #ncleg https://t.co/RqIZhMLTcK”

Gable was elected in 2025 to represent North Carolina’s 14th House district after succeeding George Cleveland. As a member of the Republican Party in the North Carolina State House, he has been active in public debates over healthcare policy, disaster response measures, business regulations during emergencies such as COVID-19, and legislative priorities related to public safety.
