Town of Topsail Beach recently issued the following announcement.

Christmas Tree Collection

The residents, property-owners, and visitors to North Topsail Beach may dispose of their Christmas trees at the beach access located at BA 31B, 315 NEW RIVER INLET RD, at the north end of the NEW JEFFRIES lot (see map below) at any time starting December 27th. 

Property owners may collect trees at the same location any time starting December 28th to place along the oceanfront to promote sand accumulation. Disposal and collection will end three weeks following Christmas. 

Disposal

• Starts Sunday, Dec. 27th, 8 a.m. at the New Jefferies lot
• Christmas lights and ornaments must be removed prior to disposal

Collection

• Starts Monday, Dec. 28th,   8 a.m. at the New Jefferies lot
• First come, first serve
• No limit on trees per property

To help property owners who are unable to collect trees themselves for any reason, the Town will coordinate volunteers to place trees at owners’ requests. To request help with collecting trees, please fill out this online form.  The town will also provide materials to guide owners on the proper placement of trees.
