Vaccinations help lessen the impact of COVID-19.
Onslow Health Director Kristen Richmond-Hoover indicated that Onslow County had been averaging about 20 persons a day receiving a vaccination during July, but last week, that number jumped to 30 and appears to be increasing. The overall count of vaccinations being given in the County spiked July 29 when about 225 were reported on that day alone.
Kristen Hoover is urging everyone to get a vaccine and notes that the Onslow Health Department is offering walk in services at 612 College Street in Jacksonville as well as many commercial providers offering services at various locations.
Onslow is still offering all three brands of vaccination on a walk-in basis at the Onslow County Health Department. StarMed (www.starmed.care) has some incentives including gift cards for those willing to get their vaccination. Visit their website for more information.
