Town of Surf City issued the following announcement on Mar. 17.
The Town of Surf City is offering a cost share program for ocean front property owners to help support vegetation on our dunes. Sea Oats are sold in sets of 200 plants, which will cover approximately 300 sq. ft. at $120/bundle. Town will pay half, leaving property owners to pay $60/200 plants. Most lots require between 400-800 plants. For an additional $230, Coastal Transplants will install the plants.

Once you select "Surf City and the date you prefer on the website, the discount will be applied; no discount code needed. Pick up dates will be May 20, 27, and June 3. Pickup will be at the Surf City Municipal Complex (Town Hall) located at 214 W. Florence Way, Hampstead, NC 28443 on those dates from 10AM – 12PM.
